Merrill Crissey is a composer and pianist who creates instrumental neoclassical music that evokes a sense of wonder and calm. He began playing piano at a young age and quickly discovered a passion for classical music. At university, Merrill studied piano with Gary Wolf and composition with the renowned composer Stella Sung. After graduation, he moved to Japan where he spent the next seven years. While living in Osaka he continued working on music of various genres. Ultimately, he returned to a modern classical sound and debuted with his solo piano album Out of Nothing.

His music is characterized by emotive melodies, pensive moods, and unexpected harmonic turns. His compositions have been featured in short films and is also featured on SiriusXm radio. As a composer, Merrill continues to push the boundaries of neoclassical music, creating compositions that are at once timeless and contemporary. With each new release, he solidifies his place as a leading voice in the genre.
